Notes from the sound guy:
What’s left of this ancient castle? Almost nothing. A few stones that might have been walls, a ditch, an outline if you squint. It might not look fun, but you do get to fill in the blanks. Knights clanking, feasts in smoky halls, toothless beggars and somebody sulking in a tower.
Standing here makes me contemplate time and how everything changes. Except for the soundscape that probably hasn’t changed much since those days.
Birds, rustling leaves, the occasional owl. You could be in any century you like.
My favourite sound in the recording: The owl hooting at 3 minutes and 34 seconds. Instant medieval vibe.
