Notes from the sound guy: 

First junipers, then bouncy moss and info signs teasing me like movie trailers on my way. Then the bog itself makes a dramatic reveal, all dressed up in damp green and brown. If it had a voice, it’d be deep, creaky, and maybe a little sarcastic.

Everything here moves slower. Not just me in my muddy boots, but also the air, the clouds, the sounds. Noise doesn’t travel far. It just drops straight down, like nature’s own sound engineer is in a bad mood.

Everything here is more low-key wizard than Disney sparkle. My inner child tells me to look for Dungeons & Dragons in the attic when I get back home.

Favourite sound in the recording: A rhythmic knocking at 46:44. Could be a woodcock. Could be my next ringtone.
