Notes from the sound guy:

One minute I’m in a parking lot, the next I’ve been swallowed by a giant ravine. Like nature cracked Söderåsen wide open and left it there for everyone to stare and gape.

From this lookout, cliffs and treetops almost look staged. Like a movie set with a no-limit budget. Except it’s 100% real, including that lovely bench over there with my name written all over it.

Sound here is full surround: high hiss from the treetops, low booms as the wind dives into the gorge. Dolby Atmos, nature edition!

My favourite sound in the recording: The crescendo of leaves rustling at 1 minute and 49 seconds. Trees going full orchestra.

38 dB
