Humle means hop in swedish and Humletorkan was originally used for drying the hop crops of the whole region. The old red wooden house dates as far back as to 1926, and today Humletorkan is run by a non profit organisation. From the hop that is still grown and harvested here, the pale ale Näsuma Beer is produced in a local brewery nearby. For the dedicated beer lover it is a joy to watch the 6-7 metres high hop plants against the sky, and in August they are extra beautiful as the small hop cones turn to a golden shade of yellow.
